Designing With Graphics For Your EBay Store

Step 1 - Designing Your Graphic Template - A quick look at what our finished design template should look like and getting ready to design.

Step 3 - Adding Your Welcome Sign or Logo - Add a Welcome Sign and link it to a host on the internet.

Step 4 - Adding Your Listing Photos - Put as many photos as you want to show off whatever you are selling. This template has room for two photos.

Step 5 - Inserting and Adjusting Text and Photos - Adjusting the background for the cells in your table that will house your text.

Step 6 - Copying and Pasting Text - Designing your text can make or break you. You want the buyers to read everything you say.

Building Your Own Listing Design For Your EBay Store

Prep - Organize your desktop - Because you will be using this template often, place it in a new folder on your desktop.

Using a Color Wheel to Pick Colors - When you begin a design from scratch, your first step is to pick color combinations that you want in your listing.
		Open the Wheel web page

The Color Picker - What if you like the colors someone else has on a web page - how do you get the color coding? This gadget will solve that problem. Use this tool when you see a web page and love the color scheme.
		Download Color Picker - Just in case you are having trouble finding it on your disk.
		Open the PDF file with all the HTML color codes and pick the colors you like

Drawing Your Design - Draw your preliminary design on a piece of paper. This helps you to organize your thoughts and think about color and graphic placement.

Picking Possible Graphics - If you have decided to include a background graphic in the outer edges or inside the listing, now is the time to pick. It should compliment the color you just chose. Also, check out additional graphics I thought you may be able to use, including several welcome banners.

Go to the BACKGROUND IMAGES PAGES on this disk and choose and pick what you want for your template. Save them in your new file folder on your desktop. You will use these when you make your listing template.

Make Your Own Banner or Logo Online - A short tutorial for you. Go online and design your own banner or logo. It's easy. It's FREE

Make Your Own Buttons - At the beginning of your lessons you downloaded two programs. One of them was the Button Maker. We will now learn how to use that to make some buttons. It is totally up to you as to whether or not you want menu buttons on your listing.

HTML Tutorial - This is a short video explaining why you need only a portion of the template you have created when you go to list your items on eBay.

Placing Your Listing on eBay - The final step. Create a listing using your template and then copy and paste the "source code" you need to finish your eBay listing.
